When can we access the reception room for decoration?

This will be determined approximately two days prior to your wedding, as it depends on other functions booked with us prior to your wedding. We will give you a guaranteed access to the reception room in the morning of your wedding by 9 AM.

Who will provide catering?

All the food and catering provided needs to be provided by South Thompson Inn due to the food and safety regulations. Our Chef is open to working with you to customize a menu if you are not interested in the ones provided, prices will depend on your choices.

You can bring in your Wedding Cake/Wedding Cupcakes as outside food from a certified bakery.

Can we bring in our own liquor?

South Thompson Inn is a licensed facility and cannot allow groups to bring in alcohol or any other beverages of their own. The only outside alcohol we can allow is bottles of wine and we charge a corkage fee of $25 per bottle.

What time must we end the party?

The bar is closed at 1 AM and the reception room will be closed at 1:30 AM (on Sundays the bar is closing at 12 AM and the reception room at 12:30 AM). After closing we ask the wedding party to remove all decorations that they brought to the reception room. South Thompson Inn is not responsible for anything left in the room.

Do we need to provide a deposit?

Yes, a $1000 deposit is required due with the signed contract to secure the venue.

Event Planning

What setup is provided through the South Thompson Inn for the indoor reception?

South Thompson Inn is providing, setting up and tearing down:

  • all the tables and chairs for the reception for the number of guaranteed guests
  • guest book table, cake table, gift table, and DJ table
  • white tablecloths for all tables, table silencer (for round tables)
  • white skirting for the head table, guest book, cake, gift, and DJ table
  • white cloth napkins
  • plates, silverware and glassware
  • podium for speeches and an easel for your seating chart
  • dance floor
  • back-drop
  • any additional decoration you wish to rent through us
What setup is provided through South Thompson Inn for the ceremony?

South Thompson Inn's responsibility is setting up, taking down and providing ceremony chairs and tables.

Any additional ceremony décor provided through the wedding party must be set-up and taken down by the wedding party. The setting up of the ceremony will take part about 2 to 3 hours before the ceremony time.

Who will provide decorations?

South Thompson Inn's responsibility is setting up and taking down all decoration you wish to rent through us from our Wedding Kit. The South Thompson Inn does not provide flowers.

You can bring in your own decoration or hire a professional decorator/wedding planner. Any additional room décor provided through the wedding party must be set-up and taken down by the wedding party. Take down must take place the night of your wedding. South Thompson Inn is not responsible for anything left in the room.
